Welcome to the Town of Drakes Branch web site. The Town of Drakes Branch was incorporated on April 14, 1903. As of the 2010 Census, the town's population was 530 people.

The town office is open Monday - Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The Town of Drakes Branch provides water and sewer services, trash pick-up, a Volunteer Fire Department, and Town Law Enforcement.

NOTICE OF TOWN COUNCIL “CALL MEETING”  

The Town Council of Drakes Branch will hold a “Call Meeting” on Monday, April 22nd, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in the Municipal Building, Drakes Branch, Virginia.  The purpose of the meeting is to enter a closed session to discuss personnel concerning an employee’s resignation and hiring a replacement.

MONTHLY TOWN COUNCIL MEETINGS ARE HELD THE 1ST MONDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 7:00 P.M.  IF THE MEETING DATE FALLS ON A LEGAL HOLIDAY,  IT WILL BE HELD THE TUESDAY AFTER THE HOLIDAY:

  In June 2017 Drakes Branch conducted two visioning sessions where residents, business owners, and other interested parties worked together to develop a vision for the future of Downtown Drakes Branch. Employment Opportunity:

HELP WANTED

The Town of Drakes Branch is looking for a full-time person to train as a wastewater operator with a valid driver’s license, must pass a physical exam and criminal background check.  The successful candidate must be willing to attend training classes as needed to obtain a VA Class III wastewater license. The job also requires other duties that include maintenance of lines and equipment throughout the system and assisting with other duties as directed by the town.  Some benefits included and pay is negotiable.
